FAQ – Titanox

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Titanox stick?

The cooking surface is pure titanium with a hammered finish, and it has no chemical non-stick coating. Preheat the pan over medium heat and add a little oil or butter before cooking, the way you would with a stainless steel or cast iron pan. Used that way, food releases easily.

Why titanium instead of a regular non-stick pan?

Because there is no coating to wear out. Conventional non-stick pans rely on a chemical coating that can scratch, chip and lose its properties over time, which is why they are replaced every few years. The Titanox cooking surface is made of pure titanium, with no PTFE, no PFOA and no added PFAS.

Is it compatible with my stove?

Yes. The ferritic stainless steel base works on induction, gas, electric and ceramic stovetops. The pan can also be finished in the oven at standard cooking temperatures.

Is it really guaranteed for life?

Yes, against manufacturing defects, for normal domestic use and with a valid proof of purchase. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover normal wear, discoloration, commercial use, overheating, accidental damage or use outside our care instructions.

Separately, you have 30 days after delivery for a product damaged on arrival or not matching the description.

Is it easy to clean?

Let the pan cool down, then wash it by hand with warm water, a little dish soap and a soft sponge. We recommend hand washing rather than the dishwasher to preserve the finish over time.

Does it really contain zero PFAS?

No. There is no non-stick coating on the cooking surface, so there is no PTFE, no PFOA and no added PFAS. The cooking surface is pure titanium, over an aluminium core and a ferritic stainless steel base.

Which size should I choose?

10 inch — ideal for 1 to 2 people. Eggs, vegetables, fish.
11 inch — the versatile size for 2 to 4 people. Our best seller.
12 inch — perfect for families and larger meals. Steaks, stir-fries, one-pan dinners.

Does the handle get hot?

The handle is designed to stay cooler than the body of the pan, but it can warm up during long cooking sessions or when the pan is used in the oven. Use a cloth or an oven mitt in those cases.

Can I use metal utensils?

The surface is metal, not a coating, so it tolerates everyday kitchen utensils. We still recommend wood or silicone to keep the hammered finish looking its best.

What is the pan made of ?

Three layers: a pure titanium cooking surface, an aluminium core for even heat distribution, and a ferritic stainless steel base for induction compatibility.
